2025 Blair Alumni Association Hall of Fame Scholarship Recipient
“Our first recipient was active as a Student Government member, as well and a member of the Silverlogue staff. In her application she noted that her most memorable experience at Blair was helping organize monthly activities so other students could meet each other and take advantage of Blair’s great diversity. “I walk away this year knowing I played a role in improving the day-to-day morale and social life of my fellow Blair students.”
Next year Joni will be attending either Morgan State University or Hampton University.
Our second Alumni Association Scholarship was awarded to a student who helped lead the Blair Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America and also served on the school’s debate team. He has been active in County elections and organized programs for students to learn more about science and engineering. “I co-founded Silvergate, where I worked to make aerospace engineering accessible to Blair students.”
Yun will continue his education next year at the University of Maryland.
Nigsti says that attending Blair has opened up many opportunities for her to grow both as a student and as a person. Blair’s diversity and sense of community also made it easy to explore her interests, especially data science. She noted in her essay that “social justice means creating a world where everyone has equal access, regardless of their race, creed, color, background, gender, or economic status.”
She will be attending George Washington University next year.

The cornerstone of our Alumni Association is our Scholarship Program. In the past 20 years we have assisted more than 50 Blair seniors in starting their higher education careers with reduced financial 
burdens and an opportunity to excel at that next level. Your Alumni Association is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit educational and charitable organization. This allows all contributions to the organization, known as the Montgomery Blair High School Alumni Association, Inc., to be tax deductible under IRC Section170. Our EIN is 86-3127453.
If you are already a member of the Blair Alumni Association, you will have access to all of the activities on this website. If you are a Blair graduate and not already a member of the Alumni Association, click here to sign up. Membership is FREE to Blair graduates.
Please note that no information regarding any member of the alumni Association is available to anyone outside of official representatives of the school and reunion coordinators for each of the classes.

Montgomery Blair Centennial Year Celebration
You can start contacting your classmates and telling them about the upcoming events that will help mark the Montgomery Blair Centennial Year Celebration. Our theme – 100 Years of Educational Excellence – says it all. We will try to bring back the memories, the traditions, the accomplishments, and the people from ten decades of the Blair experience.
Here is a schedule of milestone events that are already being planned.
September 26, 2025
Blair Homecoming Weekend and Centennial Year Kickoff (get it?)
We will get the school year off to a spectacular start almost exactly one hundred years after MCPS opened the first high school in southern Montgomery County, the Takoma – Silver Spring School. The first event is the official kickoff activity, a major Press Conference at the school on Friday, September 26.
This event will include dignitaries from county, state, and national education, political, and community organizations. We hope to have proclamations, recognitions, and a great deal of media coverage to help us begin our big year.
December 5 – 6, 2025
2025 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductions
The Blair Athletic Department is sponsoring this Friday night, December 5, 2025, Alumni Basketball Game.
Saturday, December 6, the Athletic Department will be inducting the Centennial Year Class into
the Blair Athletic Hall of Fame. Blair Athletic 
Director Rita Boule and her staff are working hard to top the sold-out inaugural event, which inducted 19 individuals and seven undefeated championship teams. This year’s event will start with a pre-event reception, followed by the induction of the new members, in ALUMNI HALL at Montgomery Blair.
